Boy Untitled 1 (Mallorca)

The boy is very innocent(lots of pink). He is very passionate(reds). He is full of dreams and hopes(blues). He imagines wild adventures. He dreams about boats flying under a strong wind with full sail. He is absolutely sure that there are no problems or difficulties  that he can't overcome with his extraordinary abilities. But sometimes his ship of dreams crashes against the concrete of reality(the lower right corner) and the fog of imagination opens up(the white stain).

Rules are here for the reason. They help us to resolve things that are not obvious. The rules are represented here by a street light(red ring, yellow ring and green line in the middle left). The rules that work are based on common sense and pragmatism. They solve conflicts even before the conflicts start. Those rules are a balance of what you can and can't do(dark brown area at the top, lighter brown area in the middle right and constructs in the middle of  them). When the rules are broken and nobody follows them, you find that your nice fast highway(the black object in the middle left) is over. And you are balancing on a high wire trying not to fall(lower right).

The New Strain # 10

This is a romantic relationship under stress. The partners are separated by a black line. The red lines are the stress and pain that they feel. The partner in the upper right corner is having an affair, because the spell of love has been broken(the part with white background, the grey lines are the new relationship). This is an old connection that got staled(the mold-like light grey lines in the upper part of the painting).
