The Artist reaches deep inside her soul. She gets out of the darkness the bright flames of feelings. The Artist tries to put those onto a material plane - the flats of canvas or paper. Sometimes she succeeds, sometimes she needs to do better next time.

You have two forces pulling you in different directions : Logic (black lines) and Feelings(red lines). If you go by the Logic only, your life would be deserted and sterile (the right parts of the painting). If you succumb to your feelings, you would get overwhelmed by them. And eventually you would be drawn in chaos(the left parts of the painting). But if you keep to the middle (the center parts of the painting), avoiding extremities, your life will flourish. Balance is everything.

Untitled (Black and Red Lines on Gray), 1981

Do not act on impulse. The feelings can suggest a shortest route to take(red lines). But it could be a disaster. Think logically before you move (black lines). Logic together with feelings build a much stronger and balanced structure. Certainly feelings can take you places, but you would not have a bigger number of exists and detours as when you use your logic.

Doppia Figura, 1954

Nude figure. Laying next to you. The room is half-lit. The colors are muted. Shadows. It is a nice view. You are attracted to the person that is laying naked with you. But the attraction is much deeper than a plain sight. It is intricate network of memories, experiences and feelings that you share with that person. This virtual network strengthens and enriches the physical pleasure.

You are cold. Your soul is frozen. Then you meet someone. He is new, funny and unpredictable. He is easy to talk to. You are spending more and more time together. His novelty and growing passion make a dent inside your icebergs. Suddenly the ice turns into a blue blue skies.

Hadron, 2012
The black circles are the musical notes, sounds. Together they create a delicate network of melody(black lines). The subtle net of music grabs you, extracts feelings from you. It compresses the feelings(blue, white bands) into a wall of spirit. The wall is the foundation of your mood and your behavior. The delicate sounds of music create magic.

You have two parts : the logic(the left part of the diptych) and the feelings(the right side of the diptych). The logic is simple, organized and easily manipulated into a square. The feelings on the other hand, are unruly, unpredictable and impossible to manage. The more you dive into the dangerous sea of feelings, the more it expands. It even can lead to the uncharted territory(the white space outside the canvases).

Untitled, 1959
On the first look, the person looks calm, easy going, even plain. He seems joyless, removed and cold. Then you start getting to know the person. You dig a little bit deeper, and you see that he's  got  dark side. It is full of feelings, internal motion and passions. And all of those are a lot more powerful, concentrated and even fearful, because they are concealed and don't have an outlet.

This is a love relationship with a woman. Love is a very complex relationship It consist of very broad spectrum of feelings. I would say almost all of them. You can see here everything: novelty(green), lust(red), hope(blue), jealousy(yellow), naivety(white), warmth(orange), despair(black), wisdom(violet), fear(beige). It seems that those feelings are building a framework, a skeleton. But it is actually flames. That is the nature of feelings. They are very unstable, constantly changing and easily dying. You need to put fuel into the fire all the time, if you want to see the flames.

This is Love. You are in the ocean of hope (blue background). In the middle of it there is an island, island of Desire. It is possible that the island is not the best island, nor the best looking island. But it is your island. You are attached to it as if you were on a leash. This attachment (the red line) defines the edge for you.The edge that "cut" you open and gets your soul out.And when you really get your soul out, you are getting into a bliss (the red line). Then you are hooked like a fish was pulled out and lying on the sand.

Coming Into Orange
This is girl's love. There are lots of pink naive expectations and blue hopes. Then something not attractive(black, hairy) comes into her life. But under that facade there are layers of hope(blue), potential(green) and passion(yellow). When all those are uncovered, it is a start of a new world - orange glowing, feelings full love.

Metropolis
Metropolis is a huge concentration of people. They live literally shoulder to shoulder ( those countless parallel lines). They all are trying to keep the cool poker face and some boundaries(green-blue framework). But underneath there are boiling hot(red, white) feelings, relations and events. All those are happening very dense to each other in small confinements.
